Work within a team to perform assigned duties on telecom job sites; focusing on safety, quality and efficiency. Upon successful completion of training program schedule, you will be expected to perform the following job duties:
Entry level candidate will learn and participate in the successful installation of all telecom equipment with direct supervision and training from Senior Tower Tech, Construction Manager, Ops Manager and/or Project Manager
Demonstrates an understanding of project time allotment as it compares to project budget
Accurate and timely collection of closeout package information
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Ability to work with advanced hand/power tools. You will be trained on testing equipment, alignment tools, etc. Familiarity with climbing gear a plus. Must not be afraid of heights. Military background a plus.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, standard accepted practices and training modules
Good computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Trello and Google Drive a plus.
GENERAL EREQUIREMENTS Must have necessary work tools for Level I Tech
Must be able to travel when required
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of driving insurance
Must have basic PPE and climbing/OSHA certifications: proper work clothing, basic hand tools, steel toe boots, eye protection, gloves, and you must be willing to train and become certified in all required areas.
WORK ITEMS INCLUDE
Digging trenches, grounding, cad welding, stacking towers, installation of antenna’s, all types of antenna mounts, microwaves, coax lines, TMA’s, RF jumpers, remote electrical down tilts / Bias-T’s, remote radio heads, fiber/DC Hybrid cables, sweep and PIM testing, site audits and maintenance type items. Responsibilities also include coordinating communication of associated activities of the SOW while acting as an apprentice to the Senior Tower tech you are assigned to. You will learn and master all technical aspects of SOW implementation, including safety, installation, upgrades, removals, reconfigurations, testing and quality; Knowledge of wireless technology, processes and OSHA and NATE regulations is a must. Technologies you will be exposed to include but not limited to 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, FirstNet, microwave and fiber networks and DAS. All employees are responsible for safety, quality, timelines, and financial expectations are met for each SOW assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to climb and work on the towers, poles, buildings (no fear of heights)
Must be able to lift and carry at least 70 lbs.
Must be able to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions efficiently
Must be able to work in inclement weather (snow, rain, heat, high winds, etc.), long hours and variety of shifts (including night work)
Must be able to pass ongoing drug screen testing and criminal felony background checks

CERTIFICATIONS Technical Competency – Entry Level Techs will be trained and certified to these standards.

e) First Aid/CPR Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent certification)
